Gold was the common thread of this collection: embodying everything luxurious, it was present in many forms, whether it be on beautiful arabesques sewn on the dresses or as exquisite headpieces. There’s no denying that Elie Saab is extremely good at what he does: he makes dress dreams come true. If ever you wanted to feel like a princess, he is the man to wave his magic sewing wand and make it happen. You can’t not feel the epitome of pretty in his creations – today they took on an ethereal goddess quality and there was as similar train of thought happening as there had been at Versace’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream show on Sunday.
