Simple and great ideas for Christmas decorations
Stylish adornment of your home for Christmas and New Year
How much I love Christmas! Festive mood, lights, gifts, and there is joy and festive mood in the air. Every year I look forward to Christmas as an opportunity to turn the page, end the current year and start a new one with a clean slate. It certainly seems that in the new year everything will work out, all wishes will come true and all the bad will be left behind.
Probably my favorite holiday time is preparation. I need to make a long and detailed shopping list, come up with treats, and most importantly, decorate the house. Decorating the home takes the most time, but it’s the nicest. After all, it will stay with me after Christmas to wait for the New Year.
The hardest part is coming up with a variety of Christmas decorations. Cause I really want them not to be like last year. Since my childhood, I adore Christmas lights, an abundance of colorful ribbons, bright toys and sweets, of course!
This year, I especially tried to find interesting ideas for home decoration. Let the holiday be a little unusual, but you can try to fix it with an abundance of bright and colorful decorations.
Let's start by decorating the living room
The living room is the main room in the house when it comes to celebrating Christmas. And here a lot of festive decorations are concentrated. If you want beautifully decorate your living room, stock up on a large number of colorful pillows, take more red ones, also do not forget to take a lot of candles and ribbons.
Throw pillows in all corners, chairs and sofas. The main rule works here - the more, the better. Do the same with ribbons, they can be tied on anything that suits, on door handles, on a chandelier, on a Christmas tree and even on candles. As for candles, if you love fresh winter scents, get aromatic ones. If not, then take the usual ones. You need to place the candles correctly, only where it is safe! You're going to light them, aren't you?
I don't know about you, but I love when the dishes are decorated for the holiday. It creates an absolutely magical Christmas mood! Therefore, here I have prepared for you some festive tableware decoration ideas.
To get started, stock up on multi-colored napkins, paper and cloth will do. All you need is to carefully roll them up so that they fit comfortably on a plate or in a cup. For convenience, they can be wrapped with a ribbon with a small Christmas toy. Now, when setting the table, you can easily adorn each dish with the already prepared napkin decoration. It is also a good idea to add some small green Christmas tree twigs. Let everything remind you of the holiday!
Oh and don't forget about Christmas candies, candy canes are an indispensable attribute of the holiday!
Christmas trees is never too much
Maybe one Christmas tree in the living room is enough for someone, but definitely not for me! I'm talking about wall decorations, of course. Here your fantasy can play out absolutely freely. You can make many small ones, a couple of large ones, two on one wall, or just one in general, the main thing is to make it bright and magical.
I've collected a few ideas for creating such a New Year's wall decoration. Starting from the simplest one, it is to decorate a drawn Christmas tree with her toys and a garland, to an unusual one, like decorating a mannequin with Christmas tree branches, toys and sheets of paper rolled into a tube. looks unusual, but at the same time absolutely amazing!
It's time to share some little tricks with which you can make your holiday even more fabulous.
I'll start with New Year's toys. Instead of ordinary empty ones, get toys filled with colorful little things. So each toy will shine with new colors when you light the garland. If you don't want to buy, you can make them yourself. Take larger toys and fill them with M&M's, sprinkles or confetti. You will see that in five minutes of work your tree will turn into a real decoration!
It's also a great idea to decorate your front door. Many people use an ordinary Christmas tree wreath for this, but I still advise you to be creative and come up with something unusual. For example, such inscriptions like 'Joy' or 'Marry' would be very nice.
Another way to diversify your Christmas decorations is to use your DIY candles instead of regular ones. This is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. It is enough to take small containers and fill them with water, and lower small tablet candles inside. To make such a decoration even more festive, you can lower a few branches of a Christmas tree, mistletoe or mountain ash with berries into the water. It looks just great!
And finally sweets
No Christmas should be complete without sweets. Since childhood, this holiday has been associated with candies, cookies, marmalades, etc. Nevertheless, if you are going to prepare a little miracle for your children or even yourself, buy a lot of various tasty treats. And for serving, use a large dish where you can lay them out beautifully. Each such dish of yummies is already a decoration and will worthily take a place in the center of the festive table.
Naturally, such an extensive topic does not end with these tips, so I recommend reading our previous articles about 8 things you have to do on this winter holidays and Christmas and New Year are holidays when we wait for miracles. And of course I wish you a Merry Christmas!
